About
Blakinger, Byler & Thomas,
P.C.
Our firm was founded in 1986 by the
merger of two well-known Lancaster County law firms whose roots
extend back to the business practice of Richard J. Blakinger, the
municipal practice of Charles B. Grove, Jr. and the agrarian and
land use practices of Samuel S. Wenger and M. Elvin Byler. Today,
Blakinger, Byler & Thomas, P.C., continues the practice of legal
services for individuals, businesses, governmental bodies, and
community organizations dating back to the 1930’s. We are
a well-established firm with deep local roots, helping us to better
understand our clients’ needs in the Central Pennsylvania
area, and the sophistication and experience to handle the
varied needs of local, national, and international clients.
Our philosophy is for the firm to
be diverse enough to meet all of our clients’ needs, with
individual attorneys providing an in-depth and sophisticated approach
to the unique legal issues in their areas of focus. We offer services
in most areas of the law, and our attorneys practice in groups
concentrated around those areas. It is impossible today for one
attorney to be able to handle all of a client’s needs; however,
our team approach allows us to work together to effectively represent
each client.
As the practice of law becomes more
sophisticated and specialized, we strive to offer the personal
touch while embracing new technology. We use a wide range of technologies
to be more responsive to our clients and serve them better. This includes
utilizing email, providing documents electronically in a wide range of formats,
using the latest computer software, and participating in electronic filing
in local, state, and federal courts.
