Jonathan R. Hofstetter

Jonathan is an Associate at BB&T. He provides representation for corporations, financial institutions, individuals and government entities in a variety of areas, including general business matters, organization and governance, negotiation and closing of corporate and commercial financial transactions, intellectual property matters and identity theft issues.

Jonathan’s practice involves general corporate counseling and representation of businesses in acquisitions and other transactions. His knowledge in the area of identity theft allows him to advise corporate clients on FTC compliance issues, as well as assisting corporations and individuals with identity theft prevention issues.

Jonathan works extensively with lenders and borrowers in structuring, negotiating and documenting secured and unsecured credit transactions, including participated loans, acquisition financing, real estate acquisitions, asset-based transactions, loan work-outs and restructuring, construction financing, and tax-exempt financing. Jonathan’s lending practice ranges from middle market loan transactions exceeding $125,000,000 to small business loans under $100,000.

Additionally, Jonathan assists clients with intellectual property issues, including copyright filings, negotiating and drafting publishing agreements, work-for-hire contracts and licensing agreements, and trademark applications, renewals and transfers.
